Re: The AntiChrist
O.K., what we need to examine here is the very nature of God. Using your text, why did He destroy the world leaving only Noah and his family? At first, that is just exactly what He was going to do, but didn't.
How about Sodom and Gomorrah? Remember Abraham bargaining with God, starting with 50 righteous souls, then 45, 40, 30, 20, and finally 10? God agreed that He would not destroy it for the sake of 10 righteous souls. Such was His forgiving nature. However, there were not 10 there, and God knew that.
How about the city of Ninevah, to which Jonah was sent to deliver a message of judgment: God is going to destroy the city down to the last person unless you repent from the top to the bottom. Jonah didn't want to go, and tried to run. Why? He hated the Ninevites and wanted them to be destroyed, and he knew that God was such a forgiving God, the Ninevites just might repent: which they ultimately did from the King down to the lowest servant.
David, about whom the Bible says was "a man after God's own heart", committed adultery and then murder, yet God forgave Him, giving him another chance to be useful.
Rahab was a harlot, yet she is counted in the "Faith Hall of Fame" because of her service to the Lord.
How about the woman caught in the act of adultery?
"Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more"
John 8:10-11 (KJV)
Yes, Our God is the God of wrath, vengeance, and judgment; but He is also the God of forgiveness and love.
It is that forgiving nature that gives mankind one last chance after the "Rapture". The reason for not missing the Rapture is just so we won't have to go through the tribulation as a last chance to be saved. Preventative measures.

Re: The AntiChrist
During some Bible classes I took many, many years ago, there were 3 main types of believers in regards to the "rapture" as most Christians call it.
The first one is the pre-milenialist: a person who believes in the second coming of Christ after the 7 years of tribulation. These would be the ones who believe that the great tribulation will not begin until the anti-christ takes power and the Church is "raptured" for the feast of the saints in which GOD HIMSELF waits on all the saints of GOD in preparation for the great battle of Armageddon.
The second one is the Aawe(sp) millinialist: They are the ones who believe we are now living in the great tribulation by virtue of being born and when they die, will sit at the right hand of GOD upon death. This one really puzzles me in the fact that the Book of Revelation does not mention this at all.
The third one is the post- millenialist: They basically believe that the tribulation and the 1000 year reign when satan himself is tossed into the bottomless pit has already come and gone and when we die, that is it. No life after death or rejoicing in heaven.
If you believe in the teachings and the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation, then, the only choice there could possibly be is the pre-millenialist point of view.
To believe in the other to is to not believe in the life, death, burial, and resurrection of our LORD.
I might also add that although, the word "rapture" is not mentioned in The Bible, there are clear and precise prophecies that the "rapture" or the "taking of the Bride" is yet to come. That is what the word "rapture" means.

Re: The AntiChrist
I believe ther eare four types of believers on that, but I cannot think of the name of the other group at this time. There was a slight difference in the Aawe millenialist but very similar.

Re: The AntiChrist
May be 4, but I only studied on the 3 that I mentioned.

Re: The AntiChrist
I found this on a website. I believe this is the same four I read about before:
. Post Tribulationist
2. Pre-wrath Tribulationist
3. Mid-Tribulationist
4. Pre-Tribulationist
Now I have not looked over this website, so I am not using it to back up anything I believe. Just to answer what I mentioned above, but here is a link if you want to read up what this guy has to say about it:

Re: The AntiChrist
I'll check it out, but right now, I'm not sure what the difference is between pre-tribulationist and pre-wrath tribs. A new one on me.

Re: The AntiChrist
Actually Pre-wrath and Mid-Tribulationist are the ones who are more alike in thinking from what I understand. Same "area/timeframe" of being called away.

Re: The AntiChrist
I believe you are right on the 722, hence, that is why I placed only three categories in my post.
